Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine highlighting exciting upcoming releases.
This week’s Waiting on Wednesday features On the Other Side by Carrie Hope Fletcher.
On the Other Side will be Carrie’s first fiction book, her previous book being a sort of autobiographical come advice book reflecting on her experiences of growing up. This was a great read which very much felt like someone having a conversation with you. Where was this when I was growing up?
Carrie is probably best known for being a vlogger as well as an actress/singer, and I have followed her videos for quite a while now, and it just makes me excited to see her excited about this book on her videos.
Admittedly, I’ve had this book pre-ordered for quite a while. The blurb reminds me a bit of The Five People You Meet In Heaven, a book that I have thoroughly enjoyed. Also, the topic of life after death is one that intrigues me and I am looking forward to seeing how this plays out in the book. As a side note, the picture does not do the cover justice – it’s going to have foil!
