It’s that time of year once more. The clocks have gone back, the nights are drawing in, and it’s really cold in the mornings! October is very nearly over to make way for November (and NaNoWriMo).

Let’s face it; NaNoWriMo is a slog. Writing 50,000 words in 30 days is definitely a marathon, not a sprint. But every participant has their own little ways of keeping the month somewhat bearable in what are known as survival kits.

Each year, my survival kit has sort of stayed the same, with a few additions added along the way. Now in my fourth consecutive year, I feel like I’ve got my survival kit sorted.

I have a bit of a TBR problem: my TBR pile is huge. If I stacked all the books up, it would probably be taller than me. So I thought that every Thursday I would feature a book that is on my pile and a reason as to why I got it in the first place. I should have plenty to last me quite a few weeks!
