Monthly Wrap-Up: March 2018

That’s another month nearly done and dusted! I don’t want to freak you all out, but we’re now a quarter of the way through the year.

This month can be summed up as snow, snow and more snow. I had a total of three snow days from work, with a trip being postponed until the summer when we have warmer (but probably rainy) weather. More snow has been forecast for the country, but not where I live, which I am a bit gutted about to be honest.

But enough of that, let’s get on with what I read during the month of March:

Monthly Wrap-Up: February 2018

Yet again, that’s another month over! I’ve had sneezes that have been slower than this month. I can’t remember what has happened during February except from the recent snow that has fallen across the country. I say this as I look out of my window at the melted snow that lasted all of a few hours. But enough of that, let’s talk about books…

Monthly Wrap-Up: January 2018

Monthly Wrap-Up

So, that’s it. The first month of 2018 is over and done with. It feels like only yesterday I was celebrating the arrival of the new year during a short break down in Cornwall! Since then, everything has been getting back to normal; I’ve been settling down in my new job role (at last!) and am back to the Monday-Friday job, currently watching Mary Berry making fish cakes this Saturday morning (yes, I’ve written this in advance for a change).

But enough about my life, let’s see what books I’ve read so far this year…

My Year in Books 2017

I can’t quite believe that we’ve gotten to the end of 2017! Life-wise, it’s been a bit of a rubbish year, but book-wise, it’s been a good one.

So, let’s have a look back at what I’ve read this year as taken from Goodreads.

Books 2017 01Books 2017 02Books 2017 03Books 2017 04Books 2017 05Books 2017 06Books 2017 07Books 2017 08Books 2017 09Books 2017 10Books 2017 11Books 2017 12Books 2017 13Books 2017 14Books 2017 15Books 2017 16Books 2017 17

That’s a grand total of 66 books this year, 16 more than my goal of 50 books! It was also a bigger total than the last two years which were both 58 books. I wonder if I can beat the total next year.

I have already decided that my reading goal for next year is going to be 50 books again since it’s a nice round number, and I know that is achievable. I think that it’s important to set targets you know you are going to reach, and I know of people who set just 1 book as their target so they don’t feel pressurized – something I may do in the future if life gets hectic!

What books have you enjoyed this year? Have many have you read? And what are your reading goals for next year?

Have a very happy new year, and I’ll see you all in 2018!
